The last couple of months have been exciting having a new baby in the house. Mommy has lots of milk again so food kinda took a back seat. Now that time limits have been put in place, eating solids has resumed again. Our accomplishments these past 3months have been due to pizza! One of our problems was getting Daniel to eat cheese and meat. But we discovered the secret of the Quesedilla! Well, we call it "taco pizza" because pizza means it is good. So 3 times a week we fold a tortilla in half, add some mozzerella cheese (yellow cheese can be detected too easily) and tear up some cooked chicken in VERY small pieces, place in toaster oven and VOILA! A taco pizza!
After the baby was born my mom made us some breakfast pizza. Egg, cheese and bacon on top of dough, then baked in the oven. Daniel at the whole piece he was given and then some! He will not touch eggs in any other form was this was miraculous. I have tried to replicate this one, but havn't had as much luck as the first time.
Another new food has been corn on the cob. He usually only eats about half of a small piece, but at least it is a vegetable. And speaking of vegetables, just because a cucumber is placed in vinegar doesn't mean it is not still a vegetable. On our trip to the beach we realized how much Daniel liked pickles when he ate it over french fries! So i just bought a jar of whole pickles (not sliced, speared or cut in any form) and daniel polished off a whole one in 5 minutes! I guess i will have a son smelling of vinegar for a while, but that is fine with me!!
New products i have discoverd:
Ritz Crackerfuls : It has 5 grams of whole grains and real cheese. Much better then other packaged cheese crackers.
